Bob & Isobel Hunter moved out to the village of Skirling in 1994 and immediately set to work on creating what is now regarded as one of the finest places to stay in The Borders.

The hallmark of the Hunter's is, in a word, 'taste'. Whether referring to the wonderful cooking or the sumptious style of the bedrooms, that single word holds true. You won't find anything other than oodles of great taste, from gardens to bathrooms, from starters to deserts, and of course, from arrival to departure.

Along the way the team at Skirling House have worked very hard to deliver an exceptional standard of service. This remarkable house owes much of its character to the visionaries that designed and built it over a century ago. Today the ongoing appeal is a testiment to the hard work and vision of its current owners, Bob & Isobel Hunter.
