Originally the master bedroom, this beautiful room was designed and used by Lord Carmichael when the house was first built at the turn of the last century. Its large bay windows overlooks the main gardens and is west facing with fabulous views to the hills. This is a peaceful and bright room, bathed in sunlight on most days.
The bedroom features a large 6 foot metal bedstead which is decorated with twining leaves and has a luxurious Vi spring mattress set.
The room's en-suite is tastefully fitted with original roll top bath (1908) in the centre with large fixed head shower, period original porcelain 'Doulton' basin and WC.
The room is full of character and has a lovely wrought iron fireplace with original wooden surround and many local books. As with all our rooms Carmichael has a flat screen television, DVD player, CD player, hairdryer, clock radio, a selection of books, DVDs, magazines and games. There are also some welcoming fruit and chocolates. The room is tastefully decorated with original artworks.
Please note that as this room is situated above the high-ceilinged drawing room there are extra steps to climb.
